Count the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon us

When ever i get upset i try to convince myself that I am lucky for so many reasons

I see grief in the eyes
of victims of chaotic war
I hear the dreadful cries
of disease stricken people
I thank Allah the almighty
for being secure and healthy
Oh! countless are my blessings
It's a life of tranquility


I see the lost faces
of parent less children
I see the miserable gazes
of mothers as they pray
i thank Allah the almighty
for the loving family
Oh! countless are my blessings

I see the tragic disasters
of both natural and man made
I see families,brothers,sisters
of places ruined, drawn apart
I thank Allah the almighty
for the peaceful surrounding
Oh! countless are my blessings

I see the less fortunate dying
of days of hunger and thirst
I see the prisoners thinking
of the crimes and regretting
I thank Allah the almighty
for the food and freedom
